Q: What type of equipment do I need in my home to pick up the wireless signal?
A: Wi-Fi card or portable Wi-Fi adapter, all newer laptop systems have a built in Wi-Fi device in them but you can always check with your manufacture if you are unsure if your computer is Wi-Fi ready.
Q: What speeds will the service provide?
A: Speeds will vary on two things: 1) The number of simultaneous users on the system, 2) Your location in relation to one of Airinet’s Air-node access points. Most users will experience speeds that are approximately 2Mb.
Q: The price of $25.00 flat rate, is that an introductory price? Is there a set-up fee?
A: The price of $25.00 flat rate for residential, is the monthly fee, it is not an introductory price. Also, since this is a wireless internet service, there is no installation needed. All you need is your wireless ready device to connect to Airinet’s services.
Q: Can I share the connection with more than one computer in my home?
A: Yes, buy Airinet residential service will allow only one physical device to connect per account. However, we recommend that you purchase an wireless bridge and router which will give you the ability to share the connection with multiple computers.
Q: Does the Airinet service require a phone line?
A: No, the Airinet service is provided via a wireless connection directly to your wireless ready device.
Q: Does the Airinet service stay connected 24/7 or does it have to connect every time I want to use it?
A: The Airinet service is an “always on” connection. We will be requiring that users log on via a web page to utilize the service, but this will only happen once every 24 hours.
Q: What is Airinet is Airinet’s Coverage Area?
A: At this point, our wireless service is available in several areas within Pueblo County. We are currently planning our future expansion throughout the entire city of Pueblo County and other expansions throughout the United States. See our coverage map for service areas.
Q: Will my VOIP Phone, VPN connection or video game systems work with the Airinet’s wireless service?
A: Yes. Some of these services may require static IP addresses, please call technical support for more information.
Q: I used your service once, I'm not connected to any of your access points, but why do I still see your login screen on my homepage?
A: This is a common behaviour of web browsers caching the files into a cache. When users first sign in for service, it's cached to your computer at your home page's address. Even after logging in, your computer thinks it should use the files cached when you try to get to that page. The very simple fix for this is to press Ctrl+F5(Windows) or Command+R(Mac).
